What is an Analyst?

An analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems. The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities and recommends SOLUTIONS. Many roles play the part of a Business Analyst including Project Managers, Systems Analysts, Product Owners, Enterprise Analysts, Enterprise and Solution Architects, and many more. The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), the definitive guide and the internationally recognized standard for the business analysis profession, describes common activities, tasks and deliverables of the analysis field.

2015 is an EXCITING year for our chapter and we’re going to start with a big bang! Our FIRST MEETING set the stage for the year and introduced NEW LEADERS and DIRECTORS onto the team, and introduced the new version of the BABOK!
